MyCivicsLife is a free online educational software for middle-level civics education. Teachers and their students – “users” create password-protected, parent-approved accounts to access a secure social media-like platform. Users collaborate and communicate by posting questions and comments in classroom-centric communities. Users can also share content, including rich-media formats, from embedded library resources developed by The Lou Frey Institute or upload their own. MyCivicsLife provides a knowledge base and help desk for user support. MyCivicsLife offers educators a new way to engage students in learning about civics and provides students with a safe space to practice positive digital citizenship skills. MyCivicsLife is a product of The Source for Learning, Inc., a nonprofit organization.
